The Vampire’s Kingdom · Short Story
An ancient demonic king hell-bent on sacrificing his sister. The bloody coup he’ll have to start to save her.
Nyx wasn’t always a six thousand-year-old vampire.
He was Dumuzid, a young man trying to keep his alcoholic stepfather from gambling away the farm.
But when a drunken boast reveals his sister’s dangerous secret, and she’s taken prisoner by the King, he will make a dangerous bargain to save her life, even if it means risking his own.
The countdown has begun. He has five days to assassinate King Jushur and plunge his city-state into chaos, or his sister will be sacrificed to the demons Jushur serves.
